All About StarGazer

Hi, my name is Martha aka StarGazer. I'm a member of the LDS Church and an animal LOVER, extreme!!! I have 7+ children out in the world. The 7+ is because up to the day my darling husband, Harime passed away, we always had kids here with us, and not all of them ours, biologically. *smile* Ours because they came to visit and decided they were home. LOL When the kids were all out on their own, I started taking in stray cats and dogs with an occasional stray human. *smile* See, just couldn't stand having empty bedrooms. *big smile* As most of you already know, where I'm at now, there are no 'bedrooms', or any other rooms, for that matter. *big smile* Just a 12 x 30 ft (approx.) old tack room, but I still believe, I have a 5 star rating among the dog and cat hobo world. Beside the kids and animals, I also sew, crochet, knit, embroidery, and do all kinds of crafts, etc.; cake baking and decorating, gardening, refinishing furniture, making miniature doll furniture, and ships. Upholstery work, body and fender work, glass engraving, and small engine mechanics and computers. Due to a back injury and all the problems I am having with it, I had to give up on some of the things that I used to do, but there still needs to be more of me, so that I can keep up with me. *big smile* Some of my favorite things to watch on TV are: Star Trek, Babylon 5, Xena, Hercules, Dark Shadows, Barnabus Collins; Highlander, Duncan Macleod; anything to do with space, esp, fantasy, mythology, eygptology, history and of course romance. I also LOVE to read The Bible, Book Of Mormon, Egar Rice Burroughs, Piers Anthony, Stephen King, Jean Auel, anything to do with any of the tv shows above or like topics and a whole series of those 'for Dummies' and 'Idiot's' books. *big smile* My taste in music is just as varied; country, Hank Williams, Marty Robbins, pop country, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, rock and roll, Elvis, the 'Big Bopper', heavy metal, KISS, Guns and Roses, etc. as well as just about everything else in between. I also do genealogy and enjoy learning new things.
Crocheting is my MAIN passion. I love to make pillows, afghans, stuffed animals, doilies, and jewelry, gifts for friends and for church. Being disabled and alone, except for my "fur-babies", I have LOTS of time to do all the crocheting and computer work that I want, pain and pain meds allowing.
I want to thank everyone that came to my aid after Harime's passing on Nov 3, 1999. And I also want to thank all of you for being a part of everything that has gone on since then. For just being there anytime I needed an ear; when I am down or up. To share with me all the joys and heartbreaks of just living. We've been through a LOT together! You've listen to my 'woes' over my back injury and the problems I am having now with that injury. You've been there to offer advice when needed and just listen when that is needed. And even though we have never met 'face-to-face', the out pouring of love, prayers and help that I received from all of you truly makes me believe in Angels. You have all earned your 'wings' in my book. Although there is no way I could ever repay all of you, for everything you have done for me, this site is my way of giving back a little of the love, help and friendship you all have shown me. Thank you all so much for being there for me through the good and the bad times. And thank you, Harime, for always believing in me and giving me the courage to teach myself how to work with computers. If it weren't for you, this site would never have happened and I would never have met so many wonderful people.
