MATERIALS: Rug yarn, color of choice; or 4 strands of scrap yarn.

DIRECTIONS: Ch 35
RND 1: 3 sc in second ch from hook, 1 sc in next 32 chs, 3 sc in last ch, continue on other side of ch, sc in each ch (32) join. (70sts)
RND 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in next 3 sc(6st), sc in next 32 sts(32), 2 sc in next 3 sts(6sts), sc in next 32 sts(32sts) join. (76sts)
RND 3: Ch 1, *sc in first st, 2sc in next st*, repeat between * 2 more times, sc in next 32 sts, repeat between * 3 times, sc in last 32 sts, join. (82sts)
RND 4: Ch 1, *sc in next 2, 2 sc in next st*,repeat between * 2 more times, sc in next 32 sts, repeat between * 3 times, sc in last 32 sts, join.(88sts)
RND 5: Ch 1, *sc in next 3, 2 sc in next st*, repeat between * 2 more times, sc in next 32 sts, repeat between * 3 times, sc in last 32 sts, join.(94sts)
RND 6: Ch 1, *sc in next 4, 2 sc in next st*, repeat between * 2 more times, sc in next 32 sts, repeat between * 3 times, sc in last 32 sts, join.(100sts)

RND 13: *Sc in first 9 sc, 2 sc in next sc * , repeat beetween * 3 times (44sts), sc in next 40 sts, repeat between * 4 times (44sts), sc in next 40 sts, join, ch, turn

MOD RIPPLE:

NOTE: Every row, starting with Rnd 14 to be worked in BLO(Back Loops Only).
RND 14:*Sc in next 2 sc, 3 sc next sc, sc in next 2 sc, skip next 2 sc* repeat bet* around ending with slip st in beg sc.{24 'hills/valleys'}. (Slip st in beg sc ties the last 'hill/valley' in with the rest of the rnd). Ch 1, turn.
RND 15: Skip first sc, *sc in next 2 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts, skip next 2 sts*, repeat between * around. Slip st in beg sc, ch 1, turn.

Continue alternating rnds 16 and 17. Increasing 6 sts at each end in Rnd 16 and working even in Rnd 17. (Example) Rnd 18=4st; Rnd 19=4sts; Rnd 20=5sts; Rnd 21=5 sts; Rnd 22=6sts; Rnd23=6sts;

Continue until rug is the size you desire.
