MATERIALS
2-ply pompadour baby-weight -1oz white
3ply sport-weight yarn-1/2oz red
small amount each green and yellow
9" white 1/4" satin ribbon and matching sewing thread
polyester fiberfill
sewing and tapestry needles
E crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge

GAUGE:
5 sc sts =1"; 5 sc rows = 1"
SIZE:
Finished Size Is 4"X4 1/2" Without Ruffle
PILLOW SIDE
(make 2):
Row 1: With white, ch 21, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn (20).
Rows 2-18: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. At end of last row, fasten off.
Holding both pieces wrong sides together, working through both thicknesses, join white with sc in any st, sc in each st and in end of each row around with 2 sc in each corner stuffing before closing, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off.
RUFFLE:
Rnd 1: Join red with sc in any st, sc in same st, 2 sc in each st around, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off.
Rnd 2: With white, repeat rnd 1.
Rnd 3: Join red with sc in any st, sc in each st around, join. Fasten off.
Rnd 4: Join white with sc in any st, sc in each st around, join.
Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join. Fasten off.
HEART
Rnd 1: With red, ch 4, sl st in first ch to form ring, ch 1, 10 sc in ring, join with sl st in first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, 2 hdc in next st, 2 dc in each of next 3 sts, 3 tr in next st, 2 dc in each of next 3 sts, 2 hdc in last st, join.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in first 11 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in last 9 sts, join
Fasten off. Sew to center front of pillow, leaving open at top. Tie ribbon in bow and sew to center of heart.
Using colors and stitches indicated, embroider front of pillow according to diagram.
